Col des Montets
Description
From the info-point (chalet) of the Aiguilles Rouges Nature Reserve, follow the botanical path. A panel reminds us of the entrance to the Nature Reserve. The well-maintained path descends on the Chamoniard side of the hill. Leave the paths on the right twice which lead to Lake Blanc. At the steepest points, steps have been built. Benches have been placed along the path, and the path continues down the paved road and is bumpy for a while (roots and stones). Cross the road and resume the botanical path at the end of the car park on the left and go up to the welcome chalet. The route is dotted with panels describing the local flora. In the summer, students walk the path making their knowledge of the places they encountered available; inquire about it at the front office of the Nature Reserve.
For people in wheelchairs, the paths near the welcome chalet are well maintained and it is thus possible to make small excursions.
